Applehead Siamese Colors
The "Applehead Siamese" Cat is a pointed cat that comes in various colors. Pointed is the coloring, not the breed. There are many breeds including some "barn cats" that are pointed. True Siamese is about the lineage. Below are examples of the color points.
|
Seal Point:
The Seal Point is
the darkest of all
the colors. The
color is often
described as a
dark chocolate
candy bar. This
is the most well
known color.
Blue Point:
The Blue Point has
blueish gray
points. Some say
they are "Smokey
gray"
Chocolate Point:
The Chocolate
Point is a lighter
color than the
Seal. The color is
often described
as a milk
chocolate candy
bar.
Lilac Point:
The Lilac Point is
a mauve to
lavender color.
This is lightest of
all the color points.
Some registries recognize the Red, Cream, Tortie, and Lynx Points as Colorpoint Shorthairs. They are in essence Siamese because these colors were introduced around the turn of the century. Since then they have been bred only to Siamese and to other Colorpoint Shorthairs.

Red Point:
The Red Point is an
orange color.
Cream Point:
The Cream Point is
and orange color as
well, it is just lighter
than the red, or as
some would say more
of a cream color.
Tortie Point:
The Tortie Point is basically the "calico" of the pointed colored cats. They are the
base color with white, red and cream mixed in. The Blue and Lilac Torties are called
Creams.
